WWE's annual Money In The Bank pay per view often represents an exciting time of the calendar year. There's the knowledge that a superstar, often one who hasn't yet broken into the main event scene, will receive an almost-guaranteed title shot at some point over the next year. If booked well, the show can inject the product with a much-needed sense of unpredictability - particularly in contrast to the rigid way WWE often treats its top titles.

This year, MITB could be viewed as even more exciting than usual. SmackDown's main event picture is already a chaotic landscape, with Jinder Mahal acting as the most surprising WWE Champion for many years. Adding another title contender to the mix will make things even less predictable - hopefully, at least.

Additionally, we're also going to see the first ever women's Money In The Bank ladder match, which has already generated intrigue on multiple levels. Firstly, there's the question of the winner of the bout - but fans will also be keen to see how the members of the women's division fare under an unfamiliar stipulation.

Alongside the two MITB matches, we'll also see a card of intriguing bouts which could really shift the SmackDown landscape as we head slowly towards SummerSlam. It's time to cast our eyes ahead to Sunday, and attempt to predict WWE's next few moves.

8. Baron Corbin To Win The Men's MITB Ladder Match

Of the men's Money In The Bank competitors, it's probably safe to rule out Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, and Shinsuke Nakamura, who appear to be tangled up in their own upper-midcard rivalries. That leaves Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin as likely winners, and while most of us would probably prefer to see the affable underdog snatch that briefcase, I can't help but feel that the Lone Wolf will emerge victorious.

Rumours have circulated for a while now regarding Baron Corbin's status on SmackDown; WWE are reportedly keen to position him as the brand's top heel, and booking him to hold the briefcase would be a huge step in doing so.

It'll be interesting to see how fans react if this is the case. Corbin's been a divisive figure since his ascent to the main roster, with some viewing him as a proper old-school heel, while others can't find interest in his dour demeanour.
