8 WWE Stars Who Should Turn Heel

2. Dean Ambrose

Hands down, one of the greatest heel turns in wrestling history was Seth Rollins selling out The Shield. What made it resonate so strongly was not just the surprise of him betraying his brethren with a sneaky chair shot, but it was the moment you realise it wasn't Dean Ambrose that did it. That was a bit of a shocker.

Because when The Shield turned face, Rollins always looked like he had a breakout singles run as a good guy in him. And Ambrose always had angry heel written all over his face. He played the part of being the unlikable one in The Shield (long before it was fashionable, Roman) to perfection. Sneaky and slimy when he needed to be, Ambrose also had a great heel title run with the U.S. belt for what seemed like forever.

When The Shield split, Rollins went on to have a stellar heel run himself but Ambrose has always remained as a face. Which was weird because he's such a strong heel.

There's been hints of a turn more recently (he's grown a beard, always a sign of evil intent) but nothing has materialized as of yet. It should happen though, because a genuinely un-hinged Ambrose tearing up the roster would be a sight to behold.

It's time to let the lunatic take over the asylum, WWE.
