8 WWE Superstars Whose Careers Ended The Worst Way Possible
6. Rosey
There's a Six Degrees of Separation game that can be played with any of the Samoan wrestlers who've come and gone from the WWE. Take, for instance, Rosey (real name Matt Anoa'i), who got his start as one-half of 3 Minute Warning alongside his "brother" Jamal (who is actually his cousin, Eddie Fatu). His actual brother is Roman Reigns. Rosey's uncle, Afa, was a member of The Wild Samoans. He's also cousins with Yokozuna and Rikishi (who is the father of the Uso brothers). Oh, and The Rock is his second cousin.
With all that family lineage, one might expect Vince McMahon to give Rosey more of a push. Instead, after a brief-but-powerful stint as one of Eric Bischoff's enforcers, Rosey was propelled into a sidekick role, teaming up with would-be superhero Hurricane Helms. Rosey's new gimmick was that of a Super Hero In Training. (Go ahead, spell out the acronym.)Short of becoming an unfortunate Vince's Kiss My Ass Club member, being labeled as S.H.I.T. is one of the most degrading roles a wrestler could take. The gimmick was funny for a bit, but as soon as the idea of the big guy wearing a silly, thrift store superhero costume wore off (which happened quite quickly), Rosey was phased out of the company. Let that sink in.
His last role required him to walk down to the ring each night as second fiddle to The Hurricane, literally with S.H.I.T. all over him.
