5. Intercontinental Title: The Miz Vs. Jason Jordan

Jason Jordan's dismal babyface singles run continued with a loss to Intercontinental Champion The Miz at No Mercy. The match was technically sound, and Jordan looked great throughout, but we've always known that he's an excellent wrestler. Crowd investment is his real issue, and the former American Alpha got no encouragement from last night's audience, who even cheered Miz (the company's strongest heel) as he cheated his way to victory.

Jason challenged his rival to a rematch immediately afterwards, and it looks like the feud will continue - much to the crowd's chagrin. Jordan was booed for the duration of his post-bout promo, though he continued his recent theme of frustration, hinting that a heel turn may be in his future.

A second pay-per-view loss to The Miz makes sense for such a purpose, but the program will be a chore to endure. Last night was the audience's most vociferous rejection of Jordan as a pushed commodity thus far, and it's only going to get worse, particularly if he remains a babyface. Regardless, the company love stretching storylines way beyond their natural lifespan, and that seems to be exactly what's happening here.
