9 AEW Stars Who Still Haven't Appeared On TV
7. Billy Gunn
Admittedly this one is understandable, being as Bad Mr Ass Billy Ass Man The Ass Gunn was actually signed in what's known as a "coaching" role. However, that didn't stop him from entering the 21 Man Casino Battle Royale at Double or Nothing, or from working nearly 20 separate indy dates this year alone. The man is very much still an active wrestler.
Just want to flag this one up quickly for all of our UK readers: one of those dates was winning a 6 man tag team match where he was partnered with Rene Dupree and... former Norwich City striker Grant Holt. Yep.
At 55 years of age though, he's unlikely to be clamouring for a weekly spot on TV, nor will AEW be overly keen to offer him the sort of TV time that could go to someone younger and more (with all due respect) exciting. The Grizzled WWE Veteran Finally Proving How Good He Is Spot is already taken up by Dustin Rhodes, so it's tricky to see exactly where he fits into the narrative.
Regardless, Billy Gunn can still go and AEW would be wise to take advantage of that eventually.
