9 Ballsiest WWE Promos Ever

3. Austin Professes His Allegiance To Vince McMahon

"Now that I got what I wanted from WrestleMania, and now that I got Vince McMahon in this ring by myself... if you want me to whip this sumb*tch's ass, give me a HELL YEAH!"

And with that, all of the confusion and ill will garnered from Steve Austin's sudden alliance with Vinnie Mac was going to be put to rest, with The Texas Rattlesnake revealing he was simply using his arch nemesis to win the WWE Championship. In his home state, Stone Cold was going to drop Vince on his ass one more time and everything would go back to normal.

Except... not so much. No, instead, he turned on the crowd for trying to make him their puppet, solidifying his newfound relationship with the chairman of the company, even referring to him as "Mr. McMahon" in earnest. It was a big move turning Stone Cold into a legitimate heel. But it was a monumental risk aligning him with Vince McMahon. Sure, the Austin-McMahon feud had probably reached its apex, but to have him so swiftly switch sides, without giving a concrete explanation for it, was about as risky as it could get for the Rattlesnake. And obviously, that big time risk didn't pay off as well as either of the parties involved had hoped.
