9 Best Martial Artists Turned Wrestlers

7. Ernest "The Cat" Miller

Ernest Miller was one of the few on the WCW roster to successfully use a martial arts gimmick, due in large part to his oversized personality and penchant for wearing leopard printed robes. Miller began taking karate lessons as a child after he was relentlessly bullied by older kids in his neighborhood. Eventually, he was winning karate tournaments across the Southeastern United States and began teaching the art himself. One of his pupils was Eric Bischoff. According to Miller, he met Bischoff when he strolled into his dojo and started challenging some of the other instructors to open sparring matches. Because that's exactly the kind of douche-y, overconfident move Bischoff would pull on complete strangers. Miller stepped in and supposedly whooped him up real nice, earning his future boss' respect and taking him under his wing for tutelage. So...that's basically what drops The Cat so low on this list. Anyone who fed Bischoff's "thirst" for martial arts deserves a special place in hell.
