3. The Rock Vs. Triple H
After fighting one of the most gruelling WWE encounters of all-time at the 1999 Royal Rumble 24 hours earlier, The Rock was made to defend his world title again, in another "I Quit" match, this time against D-Generation X general Triple H.
Make no mistake about it either: this was one of the great free TV bouts of the entire Monday Night Wars, both men putting their bodies on the line for a chance to wear WWE's biggest prize (and, ostensibly, earn a match with last night's Rumble winner, Mr McMahon, in the process).
The ending was super smart too. Triple H seemed to have the upper hand in the match but he was forced to throw in the proverbial towel when Kane threatened to chokeslam Chyna in the ring. It turns out, contrary to popular belief, The Game does have a heart after all.
This, however, perhaps wasn't the best time to show it: the so-called Ninth Wonder of the World hit her DX co-member with a sneaky low-blow as he tried to fend off her attackers. That's gratitude for you.
