9 Big Problems With WWE Heading Into WrestleMania 41

Bad character arcs, questionable storytelling, lazy booking litter the road to this year's Mania.

The build to a major show like WrestleMania is bound to have some bumps along the way. It’s practically impossible to have so many moving parts and have everything go smoothly and without any hiccups.

But unlike recent years, the road to WrestleMania 41 has had some gigantic potholes and a few car crashes littering the path. The result is a WrestleMania that has huge question marks and doubt surrounding several major stories. Instead of fans gleefully fantasy-booking Mania, they’re trying to make sense of the actual angles being presented on television.

Not all of these situations will result in the feuds and matches falling apart. In fact, several of these will succeed in spite of the issues. And that’s perfectly normal.

What isn’t normal is the sheer volume of problems that have cropped up during WrestleMania season. There isn’t anything approaching “trainwreck” status, but the biggest sports entertainment company on the planet with the most talented roster in the business and near-unlimited financial resources shouldn’t be struggling in as many areas as WWE is just a couple weeks away from WrestleMania.

Let’s comb through some of those issues as we enter the home stretch of WrestleMania season and see where things stand. What will be interesting is to see how WWE comes out of things on the other side of the big show.
