Is there a less interested professional wrestler in the world today than Bobby Lashley? The current TNA World Heavyweight Champion constantly gives the impression that he just doesn't care, saying as much in an interview ahead of Bound for Glory. Sure, he's a heel, but you don't want your champion stating that it isn't a big deal whether a show goes ahead or not.

With his MMA commitments and general lack of passion, I can't see Lashley making much of an impression in the professional wrestling world in 2017. Whether that means he will be gone from the sport entirely or will merely freelance here and there from time to time, who knows. Maybe an uninspired run in Japan is ahead of him.

All of which is a shame, as he quite clearly has all of the tools to be a vital cog in the pro wrestling wheel. He has done a great job as TNA's dominant champion of champions, and in many ways his lack of passion has played into his character perfectly. He just isn't long for the business.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
