9 Early WWE Hall Of Fame 2017 Predictions

4. Honky Tonk Man

The Honky Tonk Man and Jerry 'The King' Lawler haven't always seen eye-to-eye, but they must have a plethora or tremendous stories to tell. Both men are also legitimate cousins, making Lawler the best fit when it comes to deciding who would induct the longest-reigning WWF/WWE Intercontinental Champion of all time.

That distinction alone makes Honky a must for the WWE Hall Of Fame. Despite never having the most muscle-bound frame, he struck gold with his Elvis impersonating gimmick, becoming one of the most hated heels of the 1980's. Listen to the pop when The Ultimate Warrior defeated him at SummerSlam 1988 for evidence of that.

Honky Tonk has been fairly outspoken when it comes to WWE at times, but he's not the first legend to have strong opinions. If WWE are willing to overlook any statements criticising them, and he and Lawler are able to get along, Honky would be a fine entrant into the Hall Of Fame.

If Lawler is unwilling, Jimmy Hart - who worked as Honky's manager for years - would be a good alternative.
