Sami Zayn is another who has wrestled over 100 matches for PWG, clocking up over 120 during his nine years with the company.

Wrestling as El Generico, Sami made his PWG debut at Free Admission!! (Just Kidding) in November 2004 against Kevin Steen, before teaming with Steen in his final match with the company against The Young Bucks in January 2013.

They really are destined to do this forever.

Generico experienced a whole heap of success in PWG, winning five PWG World Tag Team Championships to go alongside his two tenures as PWG World Champion. Two of those tag reigns were in conjunction with Kevin Steen. Generico also partnered Quicksilver, Human Tornado and Paul London to capture gold. Only Super Dragon (with six) has held the titles on more occasions.

Generico commenced his two PWG World Championship reigns by defeating his tag title partners, the first of which saw the Generic Luchador defeat Human Tornado at Holy Diver Down in 2007. Generico and Steen were of course never far away from each other, and it was Steen that Generico defeated to win his second PWG World Championship at Steen Wolf in October 2011.

Generico was unable to successfully defend the title on this occasion. Steen regained it 147 days later at World's Finest in a three-way match that also included former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eddie Edwards. Generico also won the Battle of Los Angeles (2011) and DDT4 tag tournament (2010) during his time with PWG, and was the only man to compete in the first eight BOLA tournaments.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
