9 HUGE NJPW Power Struggle Predictions You Need To Know

6. Taguchi Japan (Hiroshi Tanahashi & David Finlay) Vs Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi)

Power Struggle
NJPW

The philosophical battle between Kenny Omega and Hiroshi Tanahashi has been an unexpected twist on an in-built Wrestle Kingdom dream match, but this tag battle will be the first high profile opportunity for the pair to touch ahead of the Tokyo Dome battle.

It's tragically easy to predict too. David Finlay has been placed in the match to take the fall, but to suggest this will be a breeze for The Golden Lovers undermines the problems that linger beneath the surface in their union too.

Kenny and Kota's fragilities have come to the fore lately, and whilst they'll surely cruise to victory here (and perhaps expect the same in the upcoming World Tag League), there may yet be doubts cast by Kota on 'The Best Bout Machine's attitude towards his singles trajectory over the past few months.

Any interactions between 'The Ace' and the current IWGP World Heavyweight Champion are destined to delight in their unpredictability, but the outcome is in no doubt.

Winners: The Golden Lovers
