9 HUGE NJPW Power Struggle Predictions You Need To Know

3. Tomohiro Ishii Vs Minoru Suzuki

Power Struggle
NJPW

Tomohiro Ishii's upcoming battle with David Starr at November 9th's Revolution Pro's Uprising has sucked the drama out of this latest battle between the two in theory, but the matches they've had this year suggest the contest will be absolutely sensational all the same.

The pair have traded the title throughout the year in some of the most underrated wars of 2018. Despite their advancing ages and battle-worn bodies, Ishii and Suzuki's chemistry when battering the sh*t out of each other is truly remarkable.

The trick here will be fooling audiences that Suzuki can again topple the 'Stone Pitbull'. Future dates elsewhere shouldn't dictate storylines and results in this manner, but the pair's grasp on the artform as it unfolds will do away with any of those pithy concerns. There are matches and angles with more to develop than this one, but few that will compete with the magnificent fire and fury of it all.

Winner: Tomohiro Ishii
