9 Lessons AEW Should Learn From Revolution 2021

8. Rey Fenix Is An Absolute Star

The sky is blue, bears sh*t in the woods, Rey Fenix is one hell of a professional wrestler. This isn't necessarily a lesson that will be new to AEW following the events of Revolution 2021, but it is one that must make a special effort to keep in mind.

The Casino Tag Team Royale wasn't quite as good as previous AEW battle royals although expecting a 15-team match to do so was always going to be a little too optimistic. The battle royal was still more fun than most, with Rey Fenix eliminating Jungle Boy at the last to win it for Death Triangle. With this victory, Fenix and PAC are guaranteed a shot at The Young Bucks in the future.

As great as AEW's tag team division is, both Fenix and PAC are bona-fide singles stars already. The old 'tag partners split and feud' trope is just about as overdone as professional wrestling stories go, but there could be some serious mileage in these two excelling as a team before The Bastard turns on Fenix, returning to his role as a top heel in the company and allowing the masked man to become an absolute star of a babyface.

For now, Fenix will continue to blow everyone else out of the water in terms of excitement. The man is a star. Heck, put a belt on him already.
