9 Levels Of Bret Hart & Hulk Hogan's Heated Rivalry

At Wrestlemania 9, defending WWE Champion Bret Hart faced off against the 1993 Royal Rumble winner, Yokozuna. As you can see above, neither man left with the championship. In the earliest form of a Money In The Bank cash-in, Hulk Hogan defeated Yokozuna in seconds to win his 5th WWE Championship. If this seemed random, it's because it was.

The night before the event, Vince McMahon summoned Bret Hart to his hotel room, and told the Hitman he wanted him to drop the belt to Yokozuna. Caught off guard, Hart sat dumbfounded as he was explained the finish, which included Mr. Fuji throwing salt in his eyes. As Vince went on, he explained after Yokozuna was handed the title, Hogan would rush to Bret's aid, and in some weird way would leave with the championship himself. 

Being the good soldier he was, Bret told Vince he planned to do what ever was asked of him, but deep down he felt things would backfire. 

Although Hart endorsed Hogan's pursuit of the title on-screen, secretly he was thinking "Go ahead Hogan, take from me what I worked so hard to get. Let's see how long you last!"

When Hogan returned backstage, Hogan allegedly went up to Bret and said, "Thank you, brother. I won't forget it, I'll be happy to return the favor." Bret simply replied "I'll remember that Terry."
