Another late announcement right at the time when the buzz was already maximised by the imposing presence of one of the competitors in Dallas, Rhett Titus' TV Title defence against Minoru Suzuki was rich in the now-familiar feeling of Tony Khan spotting a potentially electrifying pairing and running with it.

The real genius revealed itself in the card placement.

With it having to follow what’s sure to be one of the matches of the year, Suzuki and Titus started hot with an almighty slap battle that foreshadowed the latter’s guts in the face of the ‘Murder Grandpa’ himself.

Though excellently worked, it struggled to pull the fans fully back into the action. Those that hadn’t gone for a breather or a drink anyway.

As a WrestleMania weekend special attraction, the bout was perfectly placed to do so. Suzuki flattened him with a gotch piledriver and called it a night after just X minutes. His TV Title reign might not be an epic one, but it started in fun fashion.
