9 Match Star Ratings For WWE WrestleMania 38 Night 2

8. Bobby Lashley Vs. Omos

This obviously wasn't a good match.

Omos simply can't project fear nor intimidation, which is suboptimal, since on a mechanical basis he's one of the worst wrestlers of his generation. That sentence felt cruel to write - Omos seems like such a decent guy - but that's the point. Perhaps he'll fare better once he makes the inevitable transition to fun-loving giant.

The nicest thing one can possibly write about the match is that incredibly basic storytelling still works, provided the fans actually want to see said story. The match was built around Lashley attempting to lift Omos from his feet via suplex, which he eventually managed to do (after Omos nearly concussed him with a simple throw onto the turnbuckle).

Instead, think of it as a vignette almost for the Bobby Lashley babyface character. He got over.

So few do in WWE that this must be considered a success on some level.

Star Rating: ★½
