9 Most Desperate WWE Responses To Low Ratings
2. Katie Vick
Triple H's desecration of poor dead cheerleader Katie Vick's corpse is perhaps one of the most widely misunderstood angles in the history of WWE. Not to say it wasn't complete and utter tosh, mind, because it unequivocally was.
For whatever reason, a misconception has festered in the ensuing years that Hunter, dressed as Kane, broke into an actual funeral home and engaged in sexual intercourse with an actual cadaver - one WWE hoped their dummy audience wouldn't notice was one itself.
It was much subtler than that - but not by much. Triple H was simply pretending to stick his stiffy in a stiffy - which we were never supposed to believe was a real dead body - in order to wind up his adversary Kane (the precise details of the story aren't worth going into). So that's alright, then.
Regardless, it was crass in the extreme, and a more naked-than-necessary attempt to cause commotion amongst the commentariat. It didn't boost numbers any, but retains a lasting legacy as one of the worst segments of all time.
