3. Stephanie McMahon
As the most powerful woman in professional wrestling, Stephanie McMahon again ruled over the WWE Universe as one-half of The Authority. Whether she was aiding her husband in setting up Daniel Bryan for a beating, talking some sense into a frustrated Randy Orton or convincing Kane to embrace the demon inside him, Stephanie was essential in some of the top stories in WWE this year. Her vendetta against Bryan and her determination to take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from around his waist became one of the headline stories of the spring. When Bryan became injured and unable to compete, she readjusted her focus, turning her attention toward his wife, Brie Bella. At SummerSlam, Stephanie stepped foot inside a squared circle for a legitimate wrestling match for the first time in 11 years. To the surprise of no one, she was a master of manipulating crowd response, getting them to completely buy into the match, even if it was largely basic in nature. Her win at that show, coupled with her willingness to be the butt of the joke on occasion, allowing herself to be humiliated for the sake of paying off an angle when the time called for it, helped Stephanie become one of the best heels in the business. With the revelation on the December 29 episode of Raw that The Authority is back in power, expect more of the same from the boss' daughter.
