John Cena has been on top of WWE for almost a decade. The forthcoming WrestleMania will mark ten years since Cena captured his first WWE World Title. Since then, Cena has naturally become a locker room leader. While there aren't reports of Cena throwing anyone out of the locker room or making them do hindu squats (that stuff has thankfully been phased out), he certainly leads by example and expects his co-workers to work as hard as he does. Thing is, nobody (save for Vince himself) works as hard as Cena. It's well-documented that he makes more personal appearances than anyone else and also works all of the TVs, PPVs and house shows, too. On top of all that, Cena busts his a** in the gym and keeps himself in top condition. The man is a machine. Cena reportedly held a talent-only meeting after last year's poor TLC event to question talent over their performances on the show. This came after the incredible NXT: R Evolution show the week before and many members of the roster knew they wouldn't come close to matching it for quality. Did they deliberately phone their performances in? Cena wanted them to step up. Cena was preparing to be a locker room leader as soon as he got the belt, after only three years on the main roster. During a meeting to announce the (dumb) WWE dress code, Cena stood up and spoke out against it which was a sign to many that he was going to fight for the guys and gals in the back and use his sway to make WWE a better place. If Cena has actually accomplished that is debatable. With guys like Cena as the locker room leaders there certainly aren't many (if any) cases of rookie hazing that were prevalent not too long ago. Cena has also used his clout to bag pushes for talented but overlooked performers (and Cena friends) Cesaro, Evan Bourne and Zack Ryder in the past.
