9 Reasons Bray Wyatt Was The Right Choice To Be WWE Champion

5. Bray Is An Underrated Worker

SmackDown has established itself as the brand that focuses on in-ring skills more than the angles. While the disparity isn’t as stark as it was during the original brand split and the glory days of the SmackDown Six tearing it up in between the ropes on a weekly basis, the wrestling itself is still stronger on Tuesdays.

Wyatt is a guy who has been severely underrated for his ring work for quite some time. As Husky Harris he was borderline terrible, but the confidence that came along with his new character as well as his constant effort to improve has turned him into one of the better, and perhaps more importantly, unique workers on the entire roster.

We’ve been spoiled by months of AJ Styles as the top guy on SmackDown Live having four-star matches like it’s nothing, and as fans we want to see the trend of exciting matches continue. This is an opportunity for Bray to show that he belongs in that upper tier of wrestlers who can not only hold the crowd in the palm of his hand with his mic work but also get it done when the bell rings.
