9 Ruthless Decisions WWE Need To Make Now
2. Get Lana Out Of The Ring And Into The Performance Center
It's problematic when a heel announcer like JBL flat out says that (fellow heel character) Lana probably doesn't belong in the same ring as women like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Those were JBL's words at Battleground, chipping away at the pretence that Lana is anything more than a rookie with every passing syllable.
No, Lana isn't ready to work great matches with more experienced females who have been grafting for years - but then there's only so much she can be expected to do. Where's the protection for Lana here? She isn't the one who deemed herself ready for matches on the main roster, after all. That blame falls at the feet of management.
Lana could benefit from more time at the Performance Center, or on live events, away from the scathing spotlight of WWE's TV cameras. That's an undeniable fact, but it doesn't explain why WWE's power players threw her to the wolves to begin with.
Get Lana out of the ring, if she isn't ready - and give her more training to prepare for another crack at it next year.
