Many will remember Cornette from his run in WWF in the mid-90s, where he ran the heel stable known as Camp Cornette. The faction didn't have the longest run, but did experience success as the British Bulldog and Owen Hart had a long run with the WWF Tag Team titles.

JR and Corny exchange stories from the time, and as with most conversations about Owen the subject turns to ribbing. Cornette remembers Davey as being something of a hurtful ribber,a bit of a hangover from his time tagging with 'Captain Serious' Dynamite Kid. This softened a bit when he was paired with Owen.

Owen was famous for his ribbing, and it was so common that Cornette was once ribbed by Owen without Owen doing a thing. Owen would often prank call the wrestlers, and when Cornette found himself called up by Stu Hart he assumed it was a rib.

Thinking it was Bruce Pritchard on the other end of the line, Cornette launched into a tirade, using less than pleasant language and many derogatory insults.

Needless to say, it wasn't Bruce Pritchard on the line, but was the actual Stu Hart.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
