9 Things WWE Got Right At Elimination Chamber 2017
3. The Lone Wolf And The Lunatic
WWE clearly has big plans for 'The Lone Wolf' Baron Corbin. By far the least experienced man involved in the Elimination Chamber match, Corbin was booked to be the first man eliminated but by then he had more than stamped his authority on the bout. Corbin managed to hit the End of Days on a number of occasions, but his desire to see The Miz enter the match led to his downfall. Dean Ambrose rolled him up and The Lone Wolf's night was done.
Except it wasn't. Corbin subsequently beat the ever-loving tar out of the current Intercontinental Champion, throwing him through one of the pods and hitting an End of Days, allowing former Intercontinental Champion The Miz to come in and pick up the scraps. Dean Ambrose vs. Baron Corbin is clearly on the cards and it would be no surprise to see Big Banter Baron holding gold before the summer is over.
More importantly, Corbin's destruction of Ambrose finally added weight to the constant claim of him having a short temper and hot head. More often than not such claims have been met by angry stomping and complaints from The Big Breakfast, but having him utterly annihilate Ambrose in the chamber may well be the turning point for Corbin.
