If you’re a wrestling fan, chances are you know all about Bob Holly’s backstage reputation. A stern customer and a stiff worker, Holly became a notoriously strict disciplinarian throughout his WWE run: an approach that led directly to Kendrick’s first WWE release in 2004.

Holly and Chris Benoit thought Kendrick and his partner Paul London weren’t “pulling their weight” as the duo were rarely seen in the gym, so they took them on as “apprentices.” In their 2010 shoot interview, Kendrick and London claimed that by 9am, Holly had made him and Kendrick work-out for two hours, eat a huge breakfast, then jump right back into a gruelling push-up routine.

Every single day.

Yikes.

Kendrick resigned from the company shortly afterwards, citing Holly’s crazy workout schedule as a reason.
