6. UpUpDownDown Was Initially Planned As A WWE Network Show
As well as being one third of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Xavier Woods also happens to be the presenter and focal point behind one of the most interesting WWE-related channels on all of the YouTubes, the gloriously named UpUpDownDown. Entering the glorious world of YouTube at the beginning of 2015, UpUpDownDown has gone on to amass some 291,000+ subscribers with its varied content and generally hilarious bend. The show sees Woods and various superstars playing games backstage, all with ridiculous aliases and more. The show gives a genuinely unique view of the personalities and life outside of the ring, always a joy for fans. Woods' original idea was for the show to be on the WWE Network however, as opposed to YouTube. The show had been planned for a while, and when the network launched and was looking for content Woods went to those in charge to pitch a show where he visited barcades throughout the country. It was to be along the lines of something on the Travel Channel, but it never happened. The idea eventually moved to YouTube, and the show isn't WWE-orientated at all. It just happens to have WWE wrestlers involved.
Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
