9 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (5 Oct)

Downs...

2. A Flat, Basic Segment

Luchasaurus Fuego del Sol
AEW

Fuego del Sol has been annihilated in far more interesting ways than he was last night. The Miro and HOOK squashes were significantly better. Even as obligatory pretext to an angle, this was under-baked. It wasn't even basic and violent. Luchasaurus was far better as a babyface.

It was obligatory pretext to an angle, and not a particularly exciting one.

Christian Cage's cheap, localised heat is always very funny, but Jungle Boy came perilously close to drawing "What?" chants from an otherwise engaged audience. His promo was more corny than vengeful, and the combination of his histrionic delivery and the character he's cutting this material against - an evil dinosaur - just feels too fake to convince.
