9 Ups & 2 Downs From NXT TakeOver: In Your House

4. Karrion Kross Dominates

Tommaso Ciampa got his licks in, but Karrion Kross knocked his lights out and dominated by way of his 'Kross Jacket' submission. This, in months to come, will be looked back on as a banner night for Kross and his woman Scarlett; Ciampa is still NXT royalty, and being booked to beat on a TakeOver card is nothing to sniff at.

The fact Kross did it by choking the life from Tommaso is even better.

Their match was exactly what it needed to be. Kross and Ciampa couldn't go epic because of Cole vs. Dream's 'Backlot Brawl', and they couldn't rely on some sort of developing injury storyline because of Lee vs. Gargano's hand and eye business. So, the duo kept things simple, and their bout was better for it.

WWE clearly think Kross is a future player on NXT. This smacked of a light 'passing the torch' moment from Ciampa, which is fine. The best match results come when the loser isn't negatively affected (which Tommaso isn't), but the winner looks like a killer.
