Rumours are flying around right now about Adam Cole's WWE contract. It does look like he's keen on an extension though, and that should come as sweet news for any NXT hardcores. Nobody is a better choice as NXT Champion than Cole - therefore, WWE made the right choice by keeping that belt on him at In Your House.

It's maybe time for Velveteen Dream to try his luck on Raw or SmackDown anyway. No, he's never been NXT Champ, but Dream has been part of the brand's furniture for years now, and he doesn't want to drop down the pecking order when he's so talented. The only way he should be heading is up towards top titles on other shows.

The prematch stip said Dream couldn't challenge Cole again if he lost. He did, and that means this angle has to stop dead ASAP. The only logical move is for Velveteen to pull a Matt Riddle and seek pastures new. Then, Cole can join him when WWE finally supplant him as champion.
