9 Ups & 2 Downs From WWE NXT (Jul 27)

2. The Diamond Mine Eye Big Money Match

Wade Barrett's sit-down interview spectacular returned this week as The Diamond Mine's Malcolm Bivens and Roderick Strong joined him for a dimly lit chat.

During said conversation, Strong admitted that he struggled to break through the Undisputed beef that forced him to say goodbye to NXT a few months ago but confessed that all that changed when he spoke to Bivens about The Diamond Mine. The man in question was then given the spotlight and made the aforementioned former Undisputed star look like a million bucks, hyping him up as quite simply NXT's number #1. Honestly, this guy could make an English summer look good.

With Strong now set to lock up with Bobby Fish in what is being referred to as a "big money match", though evidently not TakeOver worthy, you can bet the Diamond Mine will be looking to get back on track after a disappointing outing seven days ago.

If they give more mic time to the fantastic Bivens and keep Strong from talking about percentages going forward, this group may just have some legs yet.
