9 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 17)

1. Nothing New

On paper, a No Disqualifications Match pitting Moose vs. Willie Mack had all the potential to be excellent. After all, their initial outing at Turning Point, while a standard singles match, was great. It's just a shame that their second match was essentially a carbon copy of their bout from Saturday's Impact Plus special.

'Mr Impact Wrestling' sent the former X Division Champion crashing into the guardrail over and over to the point it felt tedious to keep repeating the same move, while 'Chocolate Thunder's' strikes felt a tad sloppy in some places. A decent show of athleticism throughout the match from both parties wasn't enough to distract from the fact there was nothing entirely different from their first contest.

Moose rebounded from a Stunner to hit a Lights Out spear, before earning the victory via referee stoppage after beating Mack silly. Again, the exact same ending to their Turning Point clash, except this time, the TNA World Heavyweight Champion retained his stoppage victory as opposed to having the referee reverse his decision.

Had Turning Point not happened, then this would have been an Up as the match was technically good. To more or less copy and paste that match to the post-Turning Point episode of Impact, however, was a waste for both combatants.
