9 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Nov 17)
5. An Improvement
Brian Myers vs. Crazzy Steve was never going to be winning any match of the year awards, but it was certainly a lot better compared to what we've been seeing from Myers in recent weeks.
'The Most Professional Wrestler' was, unsurprisingly, dominated for the majority of the contest, with Steve being in control for large chunks. A lovely octopus hold and a KENTA-style flying knee were the main highlights on offer from the former Decay member, before a rake of the eyes and a lariat put an end to Crazzy Steve's aspirations. Not the cleanest of wins, but at this point, we need to take whatever we're given as it pertains to Brian Myers.
Myers and Steve are often overlooked when it comes to their abilities in the ring. They never really do anything major that'll send shockwaves through the veins of Dave Meltzer stans, however, you can rely on them to deliver a solid mid-card performance when the time calls for it. It's just a shame they're rarely given the right story to perform overtly well in.
