9 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (Sept 26)

2. Homecoming For KO

What more do you need to say about Kevin Owens in Canada other than just listening to the crowd's reaction every time he moved?

KO and Johnny Gargano wrestled Alpha Academy in a fantastic tag match that could have been a four-minute special, but turned into a hot battle. Owens at one point locked in a Sharpshooter (which Corey Graves called a Scorpion Deathlock in a cute wrinkle) and looked to win, but Otis broke it up and then crotch-chopped the crowd, who booed him mercilessly.

But Owens got his revenge later, elbow-dropping Otis through the announce desk. Left alone, Gargano fended off an interfering Austin Theory and managed to plant Chad Gable with One Final Beat for the win. Just a fantastic tag match that also served to transition Theory away from KO and more onto Johnny Wrestling.

Even better, Owens didn’t job in Canada!
