9 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Sep 2)

Downs...

4. Allie vs. Cassandra Golden

Allie Cassandra Golden
AEW

This was a fine demonstration of Allie's increasingly impatient character, as the former 'Bunny' treated QT Marshall like dirt throughout. She's negging him into oblivion at the moment. Chastising Marshall for not removing her entrance jacket fast enough and whipping her hair in his face when he came in for a peck on the cheek, Allie was strong in this department, reviving a dynamic put on the backburner by The Nightmare Sisters' Deadly Draw run.

The wrestling didn't hit the same standards. A slow, stodgy bout with the wrestlers seemingly working at 75% speed, it lacked snap and fluidity. Every exchange was a step or two behind where it should have been in this made for some awkward viewing, particularly with Allie attempting to portray increased aggression.
