The overall in-fighting thread running throughout that four-way was a joy to behold. Sammy Guevara saved Chris Jericho when his JAS leader was locked in a double submission - that made amends after they'd scrapped earlier, but...it was all a ruse! Sammy hit a shooting star press for the near fall.

Then, out of nowhere, Bryan hit a running knee on Castagnoli for another long two count. Fans in New Jersey really believed that would be the finish, so they came popping up out of their chairs to greet Danielson as the new ROH World Champ. Not yet, people. Not quite yet.

Both pin attempts were high quality teases.

It takes some amount of expertise to weave stories like this into a busy bout that also demands wrestling befitting the ROH letters. Jericho, Guevara, Danielson and Castagnoli achieved that without going overboard with the near falls.
