9 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Aug 12)

Ups...

9. Kiki, Do You Love Me?

Mike Chioda Chris Jericho
AEW

It was lovely to see Mike Chioda back on wrestling television last night, and AEW used him well. Not only did he work the evening's two biggest matches but he got into it with Chris Jericho as well, as 'Le Champion' tried to twist the veteran official's arm, basically saying "mate, just let me cheat?" ahead of his clash with Orange Cassidy.

Jericho said that he'd saved Chioda's job in the past and expected "Kiki" to return the favour now. When Iron Mike said he was going to call it down the line, Jericho took it as code, promising to get Chioda a full-time role in AEW.

Characteristically sleazy behaviour from Jericho and a nice way to add a splash of character to Chioda's wrestling return. He'd be a smart pickup for AEW.
