9 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Mar 25)

1. Matt Hardy Can Teleport Now

You're a wizard, Matthew. A wizard who can now teleport around the building in awkwardly-cut main event segments.

This ain't it. The lights off/lights on trick is one thing as a wrestler can believably arrive on the scene while the building is in darkness, but this? Nah. It's too much, particularly from a company that presents itself as more realistic than the alternative.

Hardy's teleportation, like the no-sell in the Hager/Moxley segment, was a big Down in an otherwise fine piece of content. The way Matt's Broken character was handled in the promo battle shows that you can pass him off as a crazy mind in a real-world setting. Things like Jericho's verbiage, Hardy pointed out non-existent famous people in the building, and the commentary's tone show it can work here. The teleporting? Absolutely not.
