9 Ups And 1 Down From WWE NXT (Aug 3)
8. Ridge Holland Dominates In His In-Ring Return
After 10-months of sitting on the sidelines, we're pleased to report that Ridge Holland is still an absolute force of nature once let loose inside of a squared-circle. However, this was a fact found out the hard way when it came to the charismatic presence that is Ikemen Jiro.
On the back of getting in a few decent strikes, the former Rugby player had had enough. Ramming the jacket wearing enigma into the barricade like a beach ball at the wrong place at the wrong time, Holland settled into a groove that involved more suplexes and headbutts than a human is supposed to endure in such a short space of time.
Once the dust had settled on an inevitable victory, Pete Dunne then seized the mic and informed the roster that they were looking at the three baddest men on the brand. And judging from this devastating display, Dunne's routinely barbaric tactics, and Oney Lorcan's no-nonsense approach, you'd be hard-pressed to find a unit more up for a scrap than these blokes.
If Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher want to live to fight another day, it may not be the worst idea to join Mandy Rose on her next scout in search of another colossus to go up against this titan.
