Just when you thought you couldn't despise LA Knight any more.

In the wake of a backstage segment which saw Knight and his current employee Cameron Grimes both swear to have each other's back in their upcoming contest with The Grizzled Young Veterans, it was always only a matter of time before the Million Dollar Champion showed his true colours.

Sure enough, as Grimes attempted to catch his breath and tag in his arrogant partner, Knight backed away. Only for the most over man in NXT to fire up and almost single-handedly take down one of the brand's hottest units. In the end, though, Zack Gibson and James Drake's experience paid dividends, with the two using their numbers advantage to split Grimes' attention and ultimately nail him with a Ticket to Mayhem for the victory.

With Grimes nursing yet another humiliating defeat, out came Ted DiBiase to advise the plucky man of his word to get out of this situation, regardless of what it took to free him from his current role. You get a horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach that The Million Dollar man has another swerve up his sleeve here, but either way, Knight's heelish ways helped add more heat to an already loathed character, and Grimes' efforts endeared him to the CWC faithful even more - if that's even possible.
