If you doubted whether the Full Sail University reactions for Jason Jordan and Chad Gable were authentic or just hometown cheering, you got your answer at TakeOver when American Alpha dominated the NXT Tag Team Championship match and became new tag champs. The duo has been steadily rising the tag ranks since the summer, finally reaching the point where they earned a tag title shot against the Revival. And Jordan and Gable did not disappoint. It helped that the near-10,000 in attendance at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center were unanimous in their support of the team, chanting for Gable (including the favorite, Save the Gable while Chad plays face-in-peril). Jordan and Gables amateur wrestling backgrounds were on full display Friday night, as they wowed the crowd with some chain wrestling, counters, tandem offense and ultimately, the Grand Amplitude for the win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5hL-kEKLuk It will be fun to see them continue to grow as a team and as champs during the next several months, and hopefully well see them on the main roster sometimes soon.
