9 Ups And 3 Downs From NXT TakeOver: Dallas

Ups...

9. The Perfect Foils

Plenty will be said later about American Alpha, but you€™ve got to give it up to their opponents and the now-former NXT Tag Team Champions, the Revival. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder probably were viewed as little more than transitional champs when they won the titles last fall, beating the Vaudevillains and building a reputation as rule-breakers who were overdue for their comeuppance. But Dash and Dawson have actually turned into a really enjoyable tag team to watch. They€™re different than most of the teams we see in WWE and NXT because they are so simple and direct. They cut off the ring. They use blind tags. They double-team and obstruct the referee€™s vision to gain the upper hand. At TakeOver, Dash crawled under the ring to pull Jason Jordan off the apron and prevent a tag. The Revival also is solid in the ring. Their size might prevent them from becoming stars in WWE, but they could be a perfectly serviceable tag team that can reliably have solid matches with almost any opponents.
