Unfortunately for Cedric Alexander, there was little chance he was going to get back-to-back victories against Drew McIntyre.

So after a surprise win last week, the rematch didn’t go Alexander’s way. In fact, the match never happened. McIntyre jumped Cedric outside the ring and attacked him. But rather than a simple beatdown, Alexander got a bit of a comeback before Drew finally dominated and wiped him out with a reverse Alabama Slam on the ring apron.

While we really don’t want to see Alexander get buried, you can’t have McIntyre losing multiple times to a guy who was chasing the 24/7 Championship until a few weeks ago. This allowed McIntyre to look strong and move on.

Hopefully, Cedric will be able to rebound when he recovers, but he looked about as OK as someone suffering a beatdown can in this situation.
