9 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Aug 19)
6. Revival Stay Relevant
For a tag team that supposedly is persona non grata and wants out of WWE, The Revival sure manages to remain front and center on WWE programming.
Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder were running buddies with Shane McMahon for a brief period of time, but they have since segued to backing up Randy Orton in a strange friendship that actually works really well if allowed to fully develop. Consider that Revival view themselves as throwbacks, and Orton as a third-generation wrestler is a link to the past himself.
Monday, Revival was facing off with New Day when Orton interfered with an RKO on Big E, ending the match in a DQ. The trio decimated New Day, injuring Xavier Woods while making Kofi Kingston watch.
Who knows if this new trio will have staying power, but it definitely clicked Monday night in making all three men a little more relevant.
