Birthday, you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

(Sorry, had a perfect opportunity for a Princess Bride reference and couldnt let it slide.)

God love the New Day, but what in the bloody hell were they doing celebrating Raws 1,200th episode with a birthday cake? As anyone over the age of 2 knows, a birthday is celebrated on the day you came into existence. In the case of Monday Night Raw, that would be January 11, 1993. So we missed Raws 23rd birthday by four months. (Incidentally, January 11 this year was actually on a Monday.)

Sure, you couldnt call it an anniversary either, and Happy Meaningless Milestone! probably wouldnt have fit on the cake. But its just lazy on the writers part. Just call it Happy 1200 and move on. Dont insult fans intelligence because we all have Google.

Scott is a former journalist and longtime wrestling fan who was smart enough to abandon WCW during the Monday Night Wars the same time as the Radicalz. He fortunately became a fan in time for WrestleMania III and came back as a fan after a long high school hiatus before WM XIV. Monday nights in the Carlson household are reserved for viewing Raw -- for better or worse.
