The duo of Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley have been hit-or-miss during the past few months.

They’ve had stretches where they deliver solid segments, riling up fans, and they’ve had moments where they’re as bland and boring as possible.

But Monday night, with the Intercontinental Championship in tow, Rush and Lashley hit their stride, indicating they were here to make money, not compete for fun. And when Apollo Crews showed up and started making a joke of their posedown, Lashley blasted him, then beat him in an impromptu match.

With a title, Lashley has something people can chase after, bringing opponents to him rather than seeking them out. If played correctly, that could work well for him. Let’s hope this act has more hits than misses going forward.
