The rumor mill has been working overtime during the past week that The Revival asked for their releases from WWE after being mired in nonsensical, go-nowhere feuds despite being one of the best tag teams in the company.

Monday, the duo got another shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships, with Curt Hawkins as the special guest referee. Hawkins caught Revival cheating numerous times, then counted a pinfall on them, ending their latest title bid.

Afterward, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder attacked Hawkins, only for Zack Ryder to save. Michael Cole made sure to note that they were former tag champs themselves.

So… is this leading to Hawkins teaming back up with Ryder to face The Revival, and that is how Curt’s 256-match losing streak will end?

If so, let the “burial of The Revival” comments flow.
