9 Wrestlers AEW Will Sign In 2024
4. Deonna Purrazzo
It would be altogether less difficult for Tony Khan to sign the distinctive, technically accomplished Deonna Purrazzo from the rebooted TNA Wrestling, who is available from the very start of 2024.
Deonna has done everything there is to do throughout a strong, acclaimed stint in Impact. Working to a reliably good standard for years, while her body of work wasn't quite as strong as the most ardent Impact mega-fans would suggest, her match against Jordynne Grace at Slammiversary XVIII might well be the most wrong Dave Meltzer has ever been. F*ck WrestleMania 25; that's the match Dave should get pestered about.
(Or, alternatively, you could simply not pester him at all.)
Purrazzo has actually headlined an episode of Dynamite, against Mercedes Martinez, but it didn't go particularly well. It was one of the most cold and inexplicable AEW main events ever, though it was hardly Deonna's fault that the pre-match atmosphere was as flat as it was.
At just 29, there is room for Purrazzo to improve further - though she's unlikely to be given it through the one-match-per-show AEW trademark.
