9 Wrestlers Who Came Back From The Dead

The Detroit River just seems to have a habit of subsuming hapless wrestlers. A few years after The Giant made a big splash into the River of the Strait, and one year removed from Steve Austin hoying The Rock's Intercontinental Championship off the MacArthur Bridge, the 'Great One' lured the WWE Champion back to the scene of the crime two weeks after losing to him at WrestleMania XV.

Revenge was more a case of 'your-whole-face-for-an-eye' for The Rock, as he didn't just chuck Stone Cold's strap into the drink, but Austin along with it. Although real rattlesnakes are perfectly adept at swimming, the water seemingly rusted the Bionic Redneck's coils, and it was presumed he perished beneath the current.

At least, that was The Rock's snarky implication, as he drove a hearse through the Titantron the next week before eulogising the death of Austin's career. But sure enough, before the night was out, Stone Cold spoiled the solemnity of his own 'wake', returning from the grave, by some brilliant coincidence in a monster truck, before broadsiding the Brahma Bull right in the middle of his own obituary.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
