9 Wrestlers Who Could Have Been WWE Champion In The 1990s
3. Vader
Oh, Vader, what left is there to be said about you?
That's not meant to be flippant; that is a genuine question: after all that's been said, written, and shown about Leon "Vader" White: how could you summarize his career in a text article without glossing over his important accomplishments?
Look, Vader was one of the greatest big-man wrestlers who ever lived. He combined size, athleticism, and intensity in a way no one had ever seen before. From New Japan to All Japan to WCW, Vader's accomplishments have been recognized worldwide. And no one could ever take that away from him.
But he probably could have done more in the WWF.
Upon his arrival in the company in early 1996, he was pencilled in as the person to end Shawn Michaels' title reign at SummerSlam 1996. Unfortunately, Michaels didn't enjoy Vader's stiff working style, and put the kibosh to his program with Vader. Instead, Shawn dropped the title to Sycho Sid at Survivor Series 1996, and Vader was effectively chopped liver.
None of Vader's run takes away from his Hall-of-Fame career, but it's definitely something that could have added to the man's resume.
